Chemical Peels
Resurfacing Without a Laser
A chemical peel uses a controlled acid solution to loosen the bonds between dead surface cells so they shed and reveal fresher skin underneath. Depending on the strength and formulation, a peel can work superficially on dullness and texture or reach deeper to address pigmentation and acne scarring.
There is no single peel that suits everyone. At Radiant Face Aesthetics we choose the formulation and strength based on your skin type, your history, and how much recovery time you actually have available.

Your Peel Appointment
We start by cleansing and prepping the skin, then apply the solution in layers while watching how your skin responds. You may feel warmth or a mild tingle. The whole appointment usually runs about thirty minutes.
Peeling typically begins two to three days later and lasts a few days. Resist the urge to pick. Let the skin shed on its own, keep it moisturized, and stay out of direct sun. A series of peels spaced a few weeks apart almost always gives better results than one treatment on its own.
What a chemical peel can address.

How much peeling should I expect?
It depends on the depth. A light peel may cause nothing more than mild flaking, while a medium peel produces visible shedding for several days.
Can I get a peel if I have darker skin?
Yes, with the right formulation. We choose peels carefully for deeper skin tones to avoid triggering unwanted pigmentation.
How often can I get one?
Light peels can be repeated every four to six weeks. Deeper peels need more time in between. We will build a schedule together at your consultation.
What should I avoid before and after?
Skip retinoids, exfoliants, and waxing for about a week on either side, and stay strict with sunscreen while your skin is recovering.
